Radiology
HDPC offers limited radiology services, including Dexa-Scan, at the Victorville location. This means members do not have to be inconvenienced and travel to another facility to receive their radiology services; it can simply be done at the same location as your primary care provider (in the Victorville office). X-rays are read within 24 hours and x-ray results in urgent cases can be read within hours.
Dexa-Scan is the most advanced technology used to measure bone density. This screening is a quick, painless, non-invasive, low-dose X-ray which measures the density and health of your bones, to detect the presence of osteopenia; the first stage of osteoporosis, and other bone-related conditions.
Procedures for obtaining copies of your x-rays and/or mammograms:
X-ray films: 24 hour notice is required for copies. If a fracture is seen in urgent care, the patient is given a copy prior to being discharged.
Mammograms: A 48 hour notice is required for obtaining previous mammograms performed by High Desert Primary Care. Mammograms are done at St. Mary Medical Center. For more information, please contact your primary care provider.
